Until the summer of 2018, when I volunteered at Martha’s Table, it had not occurred to me that my deejaying services could be valuable to non-profits. That summer, I worked in the preschool Healthy Start program and realized that each and every program dollar is precious for non-profits seeking to serve their local communities. The teachers in the preschool program did not have enough funds in their budget to put on a simple graduation ceremony for the kids and their families. I was able to secure food donations from a local business for their event and saw that a seemingly small contribution made a big difference.
So, I started to provide my deejaying services for free to non-profits on the theory that doing so saves an organization’s valuable dollars that can be dedicated to the programmatic needs of underserved communities. I have since donated my services to small and large events for non-profits, including internal staff parties, fundraisers and large community-wide events, such as Martha’s Table’s annual Thanksgiving Harvest Dinner which serves 1000+ people.
If you are a non-profit looking for deejaying services, please contact me with your information.
I hope to be able to help!
